Benicia Reads, a joint initiative of the Benicia Unified School District and the City of Benicia dedicated to early literacy, invites the community to “A Harvest of Books” on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Families with children of all ages are invited to pick up an activity guide at St. Paul’s Square (corner of First and J Streets). Then take a “Story Stroll” around First Street! Families will be treated to stories and poems in multiple locations between J Street and the First Street Green and can hunt for literary clues along the way before picking up coloring sheets and other giveaways, including a children’s book to take home. Snacks will be provided by the Benicia Kiwanis Club. The entire event is FREE.
