Bookshop Benicia (636 First Street in downtown Benicia) will host a stellar Black History month event. Attendees will witness the literary launch of 'Starship Sankofa: Ancestral Algorithms Conjuring Black Futures.' The event will feature nine outstanding Black speculative fiction authors who will read from their selected works, weaving tales to chart a course through time. Listen to the cultural wisdoms that prime imaginations for liberated Black futures, each story acting as a starry node in the constellation of Afrofuturism. Books will be available for sale and light refreshments will be offered. This will surely be one of the most exciting and interesting literary events of 2025!
